So I just saw a show on MTV called Homewrecker, seems to be about a guy who'll come to your house and get revenge on someone. 'cept the revenge is always about him rearanging someone's room. Then he gives you little tips on pranks you can do around the house. On the episode I saw, all the pranks (done on the show and illustrated for you to pull at home) are basically squirt water on someone. I guess the idea is pretty cool, the problems are 1, it's on MTV. 2. the pranks seem kinda dull. Even when they mess up someone's room, part of it involves a hose so they can squirt the guy with water.

Oh, and they intorduce themselves and tell him he's gonna be pranked. Literally, they came out and said "Hi I'm _______ from MTV. you messed with this guy so we've pranked you by messing up your room. come take a look."

I mean, WTF?

    Leave it to MTV to come up with whjat they think is a "brilliant" idea for a new show...

      I read about a story of a guy who was pissed at someone and schemed to have their house torn-down before they moved-in or something. So this guy aquired a demolition order legal form and tacks it to the door of the house. Then he calls some labor-ready firm and pays in cash so there is no paper-trail. The dude came home (from vacation?) and the house was leveled and carted-away.

      The whole story is in one of the George Heyduke books on revenge stories.

        Reminds me of a movie called "The Hazing" where a fraternity totally screws with a pledge's head. The pledge gets his revenge in the end when he tricks the president of the frat house into signing a demolition order and they drive a front end loader right into the house.

    I have to get up early, but I'm watching can't-sleep-TV.

    So the show that apparently spun off "homewrecker" is on right now. Apparently it's called the big boom or something like that. From what I can see, it appears to be another prank show. However, on this show they just prank one another. And rather than squirting water at one another, on this show, they run up to the other guy and push him over.

    It's just variations of pushing people over.

    Well, I got bored and flipped the channel. next station was following a couple around as they try to set up their first three-way.
